Strategic Project Manager - Oil and Gas - Global / Industrial Division Sales/ Houston, Texas USA Design Group Staffing Inc. has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Strategic Project Manager (Global) to work for one of the leading global manufacturers and suppliers of rolling bearing related products, solutions and services, such as bearings, seals, lubrication systems, mechatronics and services. Job Description The successful candidate will be responsible for functioning as a high level technical resource in support of the sales efforts within the oil and gas industries. The main focus of this position will be to develop strategic relationships at the senior level technical contacts (Engineering Director, Chief Engineers, and VP of Engineering) with ID oil and gas customers. Maintain or establish critical technical contacts at key customers and within the global company technical community. Manage critical, technically oriented development projects at these key customers and drive high value Industry platform integrated solutions. This position is located in Houston, Texas USA Responsibilities · Develop technical strategy for targeted oil and gas accounts globally · Develop a network of contacts within the oil and gas industry / societies to ensure Company's image as a technological leader in oil and gas applications · Develop and maintain understanding of the oil and gas market · Provide high level technical support at customers and within the company globally · Facilitate and initiate new products and high value integrated solutions of Industry Platform products; bearings, seals, lubrication systems, condition monitoring and analytical services to targeted customers or markets · Work on leading edge projects integrating Industry Platform products and services · Develop new technologies applicable to the oil and gas industries · Coordinate locating suppliers of new products/services for the industry Qualifications · Minimum 10 years engineering experience · Demonstrated achievement in past commercial and technical roles · Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) · Extensive Applications Engineering experience or knowledge multiple Industry platforms products preferred · Engineering management experience is required · Previous Oil and Gas experience managing design projects of Upstream equipment · Professional communication and presentation skills · Experience managing, driving and coordinating complex, global interdisciplinary technical projects · Established global network of contacts in the oil & gas industry · Ability to influence others and work in teams · Must be willing to travel globally as much as 35%.
